The perk of the Powerpik

On any given day, most of us would be very happy to win more than $90,000, but what if winning that meant you had just missed out on $80 million because you didn’t have the winning Powerball?

There is a way around this Powerball problem, the perk of the Powerpik ticket. A Powerpik gives you the Powerball and then it’s up to luck for the other seven numbers.

Fremantle retailer Edwin Yit from Reed’s Lottery Centre said he always encourages his customers towards the Powerpik tickets.

“We believe in educating our customers and once you explain how the Powerpik works, they nearly always choose that ticket,” Mr Yit said.

“All our in-store syndicates are for Powerpik entries.”

At $24.20, a Powerpik 7 is the most affordable Powerpik option and gives players the Powerball and 20 games. Powerball is played by drawing seven numbers from 35 in Barrel A, then one number from 20 in Barrel B. The Powerball is needed to win Divisions 1, 3, 5, 6, 8 and 9.

Tickets are available until 6pm draw day from Lotterywest in-store, online or via the app.

Players are encouraged to play responsibly and spend only what they can afford.
