New playground at Cantonment Hill in Fremantle

Ready, set…PLAY!

Thanks to a Lotterywest grant of over $2 million, the City of Fremantle has opened a new playground and recreation space at Cantonment Hill.

The playground – which forms part of the larger Cantonment Hill Project – has been designed for children of all ages and abilities and aims to increase recreational opportunities for the community.

“The new playground, BBQs and park furniture as well as upgrades to the parking, pathways, lighting and signage have created a wonderful community space at Cantonment Hill,” said Lotterywest Chair Heather Zampatti.

“The revitalisation of this geographically and culturally significant site will contribute greatly towards establishing Cantonment Hill as an attractive and sustainable place of interest for visitors and locals alike to enjoy,” she said.

What a fantastic addition to the City of Fremantle and local community – and it’s all thanks to our Lotterywest retailers and players!
