After 18 years selling Lotterywest tickets, it’s the friendships and knowing a thing or two about syndicates that sits firm with Sushie.
Hutton Street Lottery Centre and Newsagency in Osborne Park proudly displays its wall of Lotto Luck, which is hard to miss as you enter the northern suburbs store.
Part of the wall includes a 2010 syndicate ticket that saw a syndicate of eight players share in a win worth more than $17 million.
Sushie said syndicates are popular requests within her store.
“Customers hear about them from friends or people they work with, so then they come in and we explain how it works,” she said.
The relationships she’s built with her customers is the stand out part of her role.
“They’ve become like family, you find they will come in and have a chat, it’s not in and out,” she said.
“Just knowing that when you’re selling a ticket that you also know where the money is going makes it all worthwhile.”
