Lotterywest’s Concierge a knowledge of wealth

Chances are, if you meet Dusty our concierge your bank account is about to get a whole Lotto love.

Our bubbly chief front of house gal is the first point of call when entering Lotterywest.

Dusty plays a key role in ensuring administration duties for the organisation are kept in check, however, meeting winners and confirming their good news is the highlight of her role.

“Experiencing the first part of a big win, it’s always a nice feeling to calm people down and reassure them about the unknown part of the win,” she said.

“I love when it’s a smaller win and they tell me how much it means to them and what they plan to do with their winnings.

“I get to be part of a special moment with them, which is really nice.”

She said her role is the ideal mix of day-to-day reception duties with the added pleasure of sharing a once in a life time experience with Lotterywest’s players.

“I take great pride in creating a good first experience for anyone who comes into Lotterywest,” she said.

“Winners always look nervous, especially if it’s a big win, a lot of glancing around the room to make sure they have come to the right place.

“They always have that little sparkle in their eye because they know good things are coming their way.”

While Dusty can recall a range of blissful moments as Lotterywest’s front of house, she said surprisingly a boisterous group of blokes was one moment that has stuck in her mind.

“They didn’t know how much they had won . . . they thought they had won considerably less than what they actually had,” she said.

“When I told them the good news they literally ran back and forth through the office screaming, tearing up and taking selfies, which was really fun.”
