Windfall in the West as Lotto luck strikes again!

Western Australia has welcomed its twelfth Division 1 Lotto winner for the year after one lucky local picked up over $650,000 in prize money at the weekend.

The winning Saturday Lotto ticket, which was sold via a Lotterywest membership online, was one of six Division 1 winning tickets sold nationally.

Lotterywest spokesperson Pina Compagnone said the Lotto luck didn’t stop there, with WA also producing seven Division 2 winning tickets sold at:

• Myaree Newsextra Newsagency
• Newsxpress Armadale Central
• The Lucky Charm News Noranda
• Vaucluse Newsagency
• Wanneroo Winners Lotto Kiosk

“Our weekend windfall comes just days out from one of our biggest Lotto weeks of the year,” Ms Compagnone said.

“Thursday’s Powerball has jackpotted to a mammoth $40 million, followed by our $20 million Saturday Lotto Superdraw just a couple of days later,” she added.

Ms Compagnone said if the State’s track record was anything to go by, locals were in with every chance of becoming minted millionaires.

“It’s not often we see a super week like this with a prize pool of $60 million prize up for grabs,” Ms Compagnone said.

“Better yet, we anticipate that these draws combined will generate over $5.5 million for the WA community,” she added.

Tickets for the $40 million Powerball jackpot and $20 million Saturday Lotto Superdraw are available until 6pm draw day from Lotterywest instore, online or by downloading the app.
