WA’s scoops $10 million OZ Lotto jackpot win

Lotto luck has struck Western Australia tonight after one local ticket took home tonight’s entire $10 million OZ Lotto jackpot.

The multi-million dollar winning ticket was the only Division One winner from across the nation and was sold in the State’s Great Southern region at Clark’s Newsagency in Albany.

Lotterywest Chief Executive Officer Susan Hunt said the result was an exciting moment for Western Australia.

“We’re thrilled that a Western Australian has collected the Division One prize and thousands of other players have taken home OZ Lotto prizes in the other Divisions,” Ms Hunt said.

“The great news is that it’s not just Lotto players who win with Lotterywest, the Western Australian community also benefits from Lotterywest sales.

“In fact tonight’s draw raised close to $1 million to support the local community through Lotterywest grants.”

A further 35,000 WA players picked up prizes in tonight’s OZ Lotto jackpot, including 21 players each set to collect a $4,789 Division Three prize.

WA has now celebrated 38 Division One wins this year, with those players sharing in almost $90 million in prizes.

Tonight’s $10 million win is the second equal largest for the State this year following $20 million and $10 million wins in March.

Lotterywest encourages everyone who purchased a ticket in tonight’s jackpot draw to check them for the winning numbers: 7, 38, 41, 16, 15, 24 and 43.
