WA ticket wins $2.1 million Saturday Lotto Christmas present

One Western Australian ticket has won Division One in Saturday Lotto on Christmas night, continuing the winning streak for the State.

The ticket, worth over $2.1 million, was sold from Canning Bridge Newsagency in Applecross.

The winner is yet to claim their winnings.

Canning Bridge Newsagency owner, Claude Kagi, said the win was a wonderful way to cap off Christmas Day.

“This has to be the best Christmas present you could have asked for,” he said.

“I hope we can celebrate with the winner, I’ve been telling everyone who comes in we’ve sold a Division One ticket, it could be yours.”

The weekend’s Saturday Lotto draw also produced 13 Division Two winners, each worth $10,875, from:

Lotterywest spokesperson, Nikki Brown said Western Australians are finishing the year with a good run of wins.

“We have had 71 Division One winners share in over $206 million worth of prize money and there’s still two big draws to come before the end of the year, the Powerball and Megadraw offering a combined $70 million in prizes,” she said.

There is still plenty of time for Western Australians to share in the winning feeling, tomorrow the Powerball has hit a jackpot amount of $30 million, while on Friday night the New Year’s Eve $40 million Megadraw is up for grabs.

Tickets for both draws are available until 6pm on the day of the draw from Lotterywest in-store, online or via the app.
