WA strikes second Lotto winner in two nights

Western Australia has produced its second Division One Lotto winner in just two consecutive nights, after one local player picked up a $1 million prize in tonight’s Wednesday Lotto draw.

Tonight’s winning ticket, purchased from Mandurah Greenfields Newsagency, follows last night’s $10 million OZ Lotto windfall.

The OZ Lotto winning ticket was sold from Clark’s Newsagency in Albany, with both Division One tickets remaining unclaimed.

Lotterywest spokesperson Pina Compagnone said it was an incredible run of Lotto luck.

“To strike Division One luck not once but twice in two nights, just shows we’re certainly a lucky State when it comes to Lotto,” she said.

“We’re looking forward to welcoming the State’s newest millionaire and multi-millionaire into the Lotterywest Winners Room.”

Western Australia’s Division One tally for the year has now reached 39, with these winners sharing in prizes worth almost $91 million.

It’s the second Division One winner produced from Mandurah Greenfields Newsagency this year, following a ticket worth $2 million sold at the store in June.

When you play Lotterywest games; you’re giving back to Western Australia with a majority of funds raised from ticket sales going back to players as prizes, or to supporting the local community through Lotterywest grants.

A recent Lotterywest grant provided in to the City of Mandurah for $99,000 will help with building improvements at the Mandurah Seniors' and Community Centre, expanding the range of activities offered to members.
