WA records first Lotto millionaire for 2022

Western Australia has their first Lotto millionaire for 2022, after winning Division One in Wednesday Lotto.

The prize pool was shared with one other national winner, resulting in the Division One ticket worth $1 million.

The ticket was sold via Lotterywest online.

More than 15,000 Western Australians shared in prize money across the other divisions.

All attention now turns to tonight’s staggering $60 million Powerball jackpot.

Lotterywest has some helpful tips on how best to be in with a chance at winning tonight’s Powerball.

Over half a million tickets are expected to be sold for tonight’s draw, with the busiest hour being between 4pm – 5pm, which will see over 500 tickets per minute being sold.

Lotterywest spokesperson Nikki Brown said, there are plenty of options to take part in tonight’s draw, such as joining a syndicate.

“We saw last month, how 55 ladies shared in the price of a ticket and claimed the entire $80 million Powerball, it’s as easy as getting together with your family, friends or work colleagues,” she said.

“The 12 game Slikpik is one of the most popular tickets among WA players along with the Powerpik7, which increases your odds of winning by giving you the winning Powerball.”

Some of the top suburbs for selling Powerball jackpots are Perth, Morley, Cloverdale and Mandurah, as well as Bunbury and Kalgoorlie. The most frequently drawn Powerball numbers over the past five years are 3, 19, 2, 6 and 7.

Next chance to win following tonight’s $60 million Powerball is the special $10 million Saturday Lotto event.

Tickets are available from Lotterywest in-store, online or via the app until 6pm draw day.
