WA produces $7.5 million OZ Lotto winner

Western Australia has delivered its biggest Lotto winner of the year, following tonight’s $30 million OZ Lotto jackpot.

The Division One prize pool was split four ways, with Western Australia’s winning ticket, worth $7.5 million, sold at Nova Newsagency in Perth.

New South Wales produced one of the Division One tickets, while Victoria was home to the remaining two.

Lotterywest spokesperson Pina Compagnone said this was an exciting moment for WA players.

“Not only have we welcomed our largest Lotto win for 2020 – it’s also the fourth on the OZ Lotto game,” she said.

“Tonight’s win has overtaken this year’s previous record of $5.8 million also on OZ Lotto from July.”

A further 74,168 other WA players collected a prize in tonight’s jackpot across the other Divisions.

WA’s Division One winners tally has now reached 68 for 2020, with winners sharing in over $81 million in prizes.

Thanks to those who purchased Lotterywest tickets in tonight’s jackpot, almost $1.5 million has also been raised to support the WA community through the Lotterywest grants program.
