Community wins big in tonight’s $50 million Powerball jackpot

7 June 2018

A lucky ticket purchased in the Northern Territory has won tonight’s entire $50 million Powerball jackpot.

While no Western Australian was lucky enough to take out tonight’s multi-million dollar jackpot, more than 193,000 local players picked up a prize in the game’s other Divisions.

This included one Division 2 winning ticket, purchased from Nextra Ellenbrook, worth $77,405.

“Although we didn’t make an instant millionaire, we’re absolutely delighted with WA’s response to tonight’s jackpot,” said Lotterywest spokeswoman Holly Wood.

“It wasn't just local winners that benefited from the seven week jackpot run - an estimated $11 million has been raised to support the WA community through Powerball,” she said.

“We’re pleased we can still call the local community WA’s big winner.”

The winning numbers from tonight’s jackpot draw were 34, 30, 14, 32, 22, 24, 23 and the Powerball number 9.

Players have an early chance for millionaire status with Tuesday’s $15 million OZ Lotto draw.

Tickets for the OZ Lotto jackpot are available until 6pm Tuesday in-store from Lotterywest retailers, online at lotterywest.wa.gov.au or by downloading the Lotterywest App.
