Twice the luck for Morley lottery store’s customers

There’s something special happening in Morley right now.

Carramar Lottery Centre and News in Morley has sold two Saturday Lotto Division One prizes over consecutive weeks.

WA had two of the three winners on Saturday with the Division One win worth more than $1.6 million each.

The two from WA were from Carramar Lottery Centre and News and Woodvale Boulevard News.

Milan Gohil from the Morley store said it was a delightful surprise to discover his store had sold another life-changing prize.

“It’s just luck and the good will of the customers,” Mr Gohil said.

“I saw a few new faces after the previous draw, so I hope their decision to try out our store will have a good impact for them.”

The previous Saturday Lotto draw saw the Morley retailer sell a ticket to a couple who were told by clairvoyant they would come into $600,000.

The psychic got the amount wrong as the couple’s ticket from Carramar Lottery Centre and News in Morley won them more than $866,700.

Lotterywest spokesperson James Mooney said 2020 has been a fast start for the State.

“Every week we welcome Division One winners into our Winners Room, but it’s very unusual to have the same store sell two Division One tickets in the space of a week,” Mr Mooney said.

“So far this year we have celebrated six WA Division One prizes and we’re only in January.

“We’re hoping WA can keep this stellar start to the year going with a WA player winning Thursday’s Powerball jackpot at $40 million.”

Every year Lotterywest give grants to Western Australian community organisations who provide services, support and inspiration to make this already great state, greater.
