Superdraw success delivers WA three $1.5 million prizes

Western Australia has struck super lucky in the first Superdraw of the year after three Division 1 winning Lotto tickets, each worth $1.5 million, were produced across the State in last night’s $21 million Superdraw.

WA’s winning tickets were amongst 14 nationally and were purchased from:
• Sea Change News in Dunsborough
• Arcade News in Victoria Park
• Forest Lakes Newsagency in Thornlie

More than 202,000 other WA players took home a prize across the other Divisions, including 16 lucky locals who each pocketed over $7,000.

Lotterywest spokesperson Pina Compagnone said Lotterywest stores had reported a busy day yesterday with lots of locals wanting to get a piece of the Superdraw action.

“During our busiest hour yesterday close to 500 tickets were purchased each minute,” Ms Compagnone said.

“We’re thrilled so many players got behind the draw and that some of those struck Division 1 lucky!”

Only just over a month into 2018 and WA’s tally of Division 1 Lotto winners has already reached nine.

“It’s been a strong start to the year for WA – in fact we’re averaging almost two Division 1 winners a week!” Ms Compagnone said.

It wasn’t just WA winners that benefited in last night’s Superdraw, so did the entire community with Lotterywest raising more than $4 million to support local community groups in need.

Lotterywest is waiting to hear from WA's $1.5 million Superdraw winners.

The excitement is set to continue with a Cashcades promotion taking place until the end of February.

For every Monday and Wednesday Lotto draw from 12 to 28 February, if there’s no Division 1 winner, the $1 million prize will be shared by Divisions 2 to 6.
