Southern suburbs lead the charge

Perth’s southern suburbs have led the charge for most Division One winning tickets sold last financial year.

Five winning Division One tickets were sold in Hamilton Hill (1), Spearwood (2) and Yangebup (2) collectively worth nearly $4.5 million.

Cloverdale was the second most popular suburb in 2021-22 with four winning Division One tickets worth more than $5 million collectively and Wanneroo was third with two winning Division One tickets worth more than $3 million.

Lotterywest spokesperson Alana Christian said last financial year delivered a record 73 Division One winners across the state totalling more than $250 million in prizes – up $101 million from the previous year.

“We love to welcome our winners into the Winners Room,” she said.

“WA players have another chance to win big with Saturday’s $30 million Megadraw.

“This is the first time since 2013 that there has been a mid-year Megadraw, it is usually reserved for the end of the year, giving WA players even more of a chance to become WA’s next multi-millionaire.”

Lotterywest estimates more than one million tickets to be sold for the draw, and nearly 600 tickets sold every minute during its busiest hour tomorrow between 11am and noon.

The most frequently drawn numbers over the last five Megadraws have been 14 and 3, which were drawn in three of the last five Megadraws, and 5, 9, 17, 30, 33, 35, 37, 39 appearing in two.

Thanks to players buying tickets for this Megadraw, it is estimated that almost $6 million will be contributed to support the Western Australian community through Lotterywest grants.

Tickets for the Megadraw are on sale in-store, online and via the app until 6pm Saturday.

Players are encouraged to play responsibly and spend only what they can afford.
