Short queue becomes the $1 million reason

A short queue and last-minute decision to buy a Saturday Lotto Superdraw ticket has seen a Kwinana couple become the State’s latest Division One winners.

The ticket was one of two Division One prizes from Saturday’s Superdraw, with each ticket worth more than $1.8 million.

While grocery shopping the winner said she noticed a $20 million Superdraw sign outside Kwinana Hub Lottery Centre and News.

“I said to my son if the line is short we will get one, if not never mind,” she said.

“The store was also about to close as well, but it was just the right place at the right time.

“I have retraced my steps so many times after discovering I had won, asking what if?”

The chance to pay off their mortgage and spend more time with their children is now part of the couple’s plans thanks to the win.

Meanwhile the owner of the second Division One ticket, sold from The Lucky Charm in Secret Harbour, is yet to be claimed.

Another chance for Western Australian players to win big is in Tuesday’s $10 million OZ Lotto jackpot.

All available profits from Lotterywest tickets contribute to the COVID-19 Relief Fund which will help those in the community impacted.
