700 tickets a minute before $70 million OZ Lotto jackpot

Lotto players have just hours to secure their chance to be part of tonight’s massive $70 million OZ Lotto jackpot draw, during this $110 million week.

Lotterywest spokesperson Hermione Coleman said she anticipated a flurry of sales activity today.

“We estimate there will be nearly 600,000 tickets sold across WA in tonight’s OZ Lotto jackpot alone,” she said.

“During our busiest hour we anticipate more than 40,000 tickets will be sold – that’s 700 tickets per minute, which is incredibly exciting.

“It also means you need to buy your tickets early – our busiest sales time is between 4pm and 5pm tonight so don’t miss out!”

The latest Lotterywest retailer who struck it lucky this month and sold a $1.2 million Division One winning ticket, was Sue Sanderson from Halls Head Newsagency.

She said sales activity had been steadily building over the weekend and expected a very busy day.

“To sell tonight’s $70 million ticket would be the icing on the cake,” she said.

“I keep telling our customers that lightning quite often strikes twice.”

Ask your local retailer for a $50 Combo Pack which will give you tickets into the $70 million OZ Lotto jackpot, $20 million Powerball jackpot and Saturday Lotto’s $20 million Superdraw.

Tickets are available until 6pm tonight from Lotterywest in-store, online or via the app.

When you play Lotterywest games, the money stays in WA. Both OZ Lotto and Powerball jackpot rolls and Saturday’s Superdraw are set to raise an estimated $17.5 million for the WA community.

The largest combined Lotto offering to date was $150 million in August 2018, when both Powerball and OZ Lotto jackpotted to $80 million and $70 million respectively.
