Husband turns from villain to hero thanks to Lotto win

A Secret Harbour couple have come forward as the owner of Western Australia’s second Division One ticket from Saturday’s $20 million Superdraw.

The 50 Game Slikpik from The Lucky Charm Secret Harbour is now worth more than $1.8 million.

“I saw how much was on offer, so I decided to buy a ticket,” the winner said.

“I got in trouble with my wife when I told her I bought one, but she has taken that back now.

“The only other prize we have ever won was a six pack of beer.”

The couple said a South-West holiday home is on the cards, but the win hasn’t caused any major changes to their plans just yet.

“I’m still going to work tomorrow.”

The other Division One ticket was bought by a Kwinana couple, thanks to a short queue and last minute decision.

Western Australian players have another chance to join the winners list with tonight’s $10 million OZ Lotto jackpot.

All available profits from Lotterywest tickets contribute to the COVID-19 Relief Fund which will help those in the community impacted.
