Clarkson cashes in with $1 million Lotto winner

Western Australia is celebrating its 40th Division One winner for the year, with Major Luck Lottery Centre in Clarkson producing the State’s latest millionaire.

The winner, who is yet to come forward, is set to take home $1 million from last night’s Wednesday Lotto draw.

Owner of Major Luck Lottery Centre, Debbie Moylan, who’s owned the store for less than two years, said she was ecstatic to sell her first Division One prize.

“I’m so excited, we’ve changed the life of a lucky local” Ms Moylan said.

“We just sold a $200,000 Top Prize in July so this was the icing on the cake for us.

“Now we can’t wait to meet you!”

Whilst anticipation is growing in the North to uncover last night’s instant millionaire, a second Lotto fortune remains unclaimed.

Lotterywest has reported a Saturday Lotto ticket holds the unclaimed prize of $408,233, almost a month after the draw took place.

The ticket was purchased from WA’s official Lotto hot spot for 2018 - Gateways News & Lottery Centre in Success. The hot spot has delivered three locals Division One wins in 2018, but is yet to hear from their latest winner.

Owner of Gateways News & Lottery Centre, Robyn McDermott, said the surprise of a lifetime awaits the ticket holder.

“I’d say the person holding the ticket doesn’t even know they’re the winner yet – not many people wait this long,” Ms McDermott said.

“My regular customers are all hoping it’s them!

“They’re madly searching their homes, in case they’ve misplaced the ticket.”

Tickets for the $20 million Saturday Lotto Superdraw on Saturday 27 October are available now via Lotterywest in-store, online or via the app.
