City of Mandurah has momentum ahead of Powerball $60 million jackpot

Western Australia welcomed the 43rd Division One winner of 2018 with a winning ticket purchased at Lakers News, Lakelands in the City of Mandurah worth $441,295.

Lakers News Store Manager Carlos Martins said since opening the store just over a year ago, they’ve been anxiously waiting for this moment.

“We now have bragging rights to selling a Division One!” he said.

“The hot hand of luck is with us just before the $60 million Powerball jackpot – it’s very exciting.”

Lotterywest stores in the City of Mandurah have collectively sold four Division One winning tickets this year worth nearly $4 million.

WA’s Division One winning Saturday Lotto ticket is amongst nine nation-wide to share in the almost $4 million prize pool.

Over 68,800 other WA players picked up a prize in the weekend’s Saturday Lotto draw, including five Division Two winners who each collected $9,134.

Thanks to those that play Lotterywest games, the City of Mandurah received a Lotterywest grant of $377,000 to renovate and build an outdoor play area at the recently opened Family and Community Centre. The Centre will house up to seven not-for-profit organisations providing family services to the Mandurah community.

The next chance to win big is this Thursday’s $60 million Powerball jackpot, the third largest the game has offered this year following $80 million and $100 million jackpots earlier this year.

Tickets are available until 6pm Thursday from Lotterywest in-store, online or through the app.
