Balga bags a Monday Lotto $1 million prize

Last night’s Monday Lotto draw delivered Western Australia’s thirteenth Division One win so far this year, with Fieldgate News and General Store in Balga producing a $1 million winning ticket ahead of tonight’s $40 million OZ Lotto jackpot.

The as yet unclaimed ticket was one of two Division One tickets sold across the country.

Lotterywest spokesperson Jennie Fitzhardinge said it was exactly a month since the last Monday Lotto millionaire was crowned in WA.

“We’re certainly on a roll of good luck going into tonight’s OZ Lotto $40 million draw,” said Ms Fitzhardinge.

“It’s the first time since July last year that the OZ Lotto jackpot has reached this dizzying height.

“Locals players are filled with anticipation, as are we!”

Although the State is yet to celebrate an OZ Lotto Division One winner this year, in 2018 three OZ Lotto multimillionaires shared $27.5 million in life-changing prize money.

“The last OZ Lotto win we had was in October last year and went to a syndicate of 22 from Albany which took home $10 million,” said Ms Fitzhardinge.

“They described themselves as a local ‘coffee club’ that met every week.

“They said they were jumping for joy when they found out the news.”

You too could be jumping for joy with a chance for multimillionaire status in tonight’s OZ Lotto $40 million jackpot.

Tickets are available for tonight’s draw until 6pm tonight from Lotterywest in-store, online or through the app.
