Thanks for your interest in applying for a Lotterywest COVID-19 Relief Fund grant.

Lotterywest is implementing new grant processes to ensure a balance between funds being distributed in a timely manner and achieving the greatest impact possible.

This looks a little different to our previous way of working, and includes a mixture of open applications, expression of interest (EOI) processes, and applications by invitation.

For detailed information please visit the Supporting the Most Vulnerable, Building Community, or Strengthening and Adapting Organisations pages.

Supporting the Most Vulnerable - How to apply

Applications for both streams of the Supporting the Most Vulnerable Grant Program are now open and are expected to remain open for 2020/21.

We encourage you to read the detailed grant program information and talk to our team to discuss your idea before submitting an application. Applications will be assessed monthly and approvals for this program may take a few months or longer should further work be required.

Your application will take place in two parts.

Part A occurs within the Lotterywest Portal and includes:

  • Registering your organisation with Lotterywest;
  • Providing a point of contact for your application;
  • Identifying two referees for your organisation;
  • Confirming your organisation’s details; and
  • Uploading your most recent financial report and Annual Report/AGM minutes.

Once you have completed this step, you will be sent an email with a link to access Part B of the application. This will be an online form where you will be asked to answer questions about your proposed grant, how you plan to spend the funding, the outcomes you hope to achieve and other questions in line with the grant program criteria.

To view the Part B application question in advance, please click here. Please note that this is not the application form. A link to the Part B application form will be sent to you after submitting Part A.

Building Community - How to apply

Expressions of Interest (EOIs) are open now. If you have a time sensitive proposal, we encourage you to submit an EOI as soon as possible.

We encourage you to read the detailed grant program information and talk to our team to discuss your idea before submitting an application.

Our team will be reviewing EOIs regularly to understand the emergent needs and opportunities aligned to the outcome areas of this grant program.

Time sensitive projects (e.g. events with a set delivery date) may be progressed through a fast-tracked application and assessment process.

For other projects, we may take more time to work with you to review and/or develop the idea taking into consideration other projects proposed for your region or key themes emerging from the expression of interest process.

We will contact you to give feedback and discuss next steps which may include a formal application.

Strengthening Organisations - How to apply

Thanks for your patience - we’re taking a bit more time to design this funding program to ensure that its delivery has the best impact. Expressions of Interest will open in late August or early September. Please register here for our mailing list to stay up to date with further details and timings.

It is likely that this funding will occur in two phases – a first phase of small grants to help organisations understand their unique opportunity to strengthen and adapt. From here, organisations could be invited to apply for a second phase of funding to implement specific change initiatives.

As we work towards developing the detailed criteria and approach for this grant program, we’d love to hear from you with any ideas or opportunities.
