Our support in 2012/13: $7 million

Lotterywest's support for the Perth International Arts Festival, as specified in our Act, has been managed since 1992 through annual grants made to the University of Western Australia as the auspicing body for the Festival.  In 2012/13 we provided a grant of $7 million towards the 2012 Festival which presented a remarkably diverse and high quality program through literature, music, dance, theatre, film and the visual arts.

For three weeks every summer, the Festival program gives Western Australians an opportunity to see events of international stature and to engage with the world's creative thinkers.

The Festival strives to reach the hearts and minds of every Western Australian and to grow its audience base by immersing the Festival in the broader community.  Through free and subsidised events, pod casts, broadcasts, state of the art disability access technology and the web, our ongoing support ensures the whole community can engage and enjoy a host of exciting Festival experiences.
