WA's Giant weekend includes two $2.2 million Superdraw Lotto winners
It wasn't just The Giants which spread excitement over the weekend, so did the $20 million Saturday Lotto Superdraw with two WA players each picking up a $2.2 million Division 1 prize.
Lotto luck spread across regional and metro WA, with the Division 1 winning tickets sold at Busselton Boulevard Lottery Centre and Woodlands Newsagency and Lotteries.
Michelle Hanmer from Busselton Boulevard Lottery Centre said anticipation was surrounding the South West town today, with players checking their tickets in the hope it might be them.
"Lots of people have been coming in but we haven't found our winner yet. It was a very busy week in town last week; Busselton was buzzing and lots of people were picking up a Superdraw ticket," she said.
"We kept saying we're going to do it, we're going to have a big winner and it happened! It's great news."
More than 224,000 other WA players picked up a prize in the Superdraw, including 26 people who collected a $10,057 Division 2 prize.
Lotterywest is still waiting to hear from WA's Division 1 winners.
It wasn't just the thousands of local winners that benefited from the Superdraw; support from players helped Lotterywest to raise more than $4 million for the WA community from this draw alone.
Lotterywest is the Principal Partner of the annual Perth International Arts Festival and its successful headline act, The Giants, which took to the streets of Perth over the weekend.
Lotterywest thanks the hundreds of registered volunteers who have got involved to bring The Giants to life in Western Australia.
