Waikiki’s Charthouse News spreads the excitement of another WA Lotto winner

14 December 2015

It looks as though someone in Waikiki’s Lotto wish has come true after they won a $785,673 Division 1 prize in Saturday Lotto just two weeks before Christmas.

Although WA’s newest Division 1 winner may not be aware of their win yet, Charthouse News who sold the winning ticket is celebrating for them.

“I’ve been telling every customer that’s come into the store this morning and getting them to check their tickets,” said the store owner, Patricia Collings.

“I keep thinking what perfect timing, this winner is about to have a fantastic Christmas!” said Patricia.

The staff are hoping one of their customers who frequent the small, local shop, is the mystery winner of the weekend win.

“It’s really helped boost morale. I’ve texted all the staff to spread the news,” said Patricia.

“We would love to sell another customer a slice of the $25 million OZ Lotto jackpot tomorrow night too.”

Not only has WA’s latest Saturday Lotto winner benefitted from the weekend draw so has the entire local community as 34 cents out of every dollar spent on Lotterywest Games goes back to support WA through Lotterywest Grants.

The South Coast Baptist College Incorporated in Waikiki were recent recipients of this support receiving a $102,522 Lotterywest Grant in June. These funds were used towards a nature-based outdoor play area which is age-appropriate and meets the development needs of children attending the South Coast Baptist College Childcare Centre.

$25 million OZ Lotto jackpot Tuesday

OZ Lotto has jackpotted to $25 million and tomorrow night WA players have the chance to finish their year on a high!

Tickets can be purchased up until 6pm Tuesday in-store, online at www.lotterywest.wa.gov.au/play-online or through the Lotterywest App.
