WA takes home entire $30 million OZ Lotto prize
Lotto fever has hit WA after picking up the entire $30 million Division 1 prize pool in tonight's OZ Lotto jackpot - equalling the largest Lotto prize to be won in the State.
This multi-million dollar record has only been matched three times in WA's history, in 2001, 2007 and 2013.
Lotterywest spokesperson Pina Compagnone said WA was on a winning Lotto streak, with tonight's win making it the fourth Division 1 Lotto winner in less than a week.
"We are absolutely thrilled with tonight's result! Lady Luck is certainly surrounding our State. We've had three millionaires and now a multi-millionaire in less than a week," she said.
Ms Compagnone said with a $50 million Powerball jackpot on offer this Thursday, there was no better time to try your luck.
"The $50 million jackpot is the highest Lotto prize to be offered across the nation this year and if WA's recent history is anything to by, we might just see luck strike again."
A further 73,331 other local players took home a prize in tonight's OZ Lotto jackpot draw, including two players who scooped a Division 2 prize worth $24,363.
It wasn't just local winners that benefitted from the jackpot with almost $2 million raised for the WA community.
Lotterywest encourages all players who purchased a ticket in tonight's OZ Lotto draw to check them as soon as possible for the winning numbers 26, 9, 42, 39, 32, 40 and 44.
Tickets for Thursday night's $50 million Powerball jackpot are available until 6pm Thursday from Lotterywest retailers or Play Online at www.lotterywest.wa.gov.au
