WA syndicate takes home million dollar Monday Lotto win
It could be a sign of more good things to come in tonight’s $30 million OZ Lotto jackpot, after Western Australia took home a Division 1 prize in last night’s Monday Lotto draw worth $1 million.
The Division 1 ticket was a syndicate holding eight shares – each share holds a $125,840 prize.
Shares were sold across several Lotterywest retail stores located across the State including:
- Nextra Dianella Newsagency
- Kalamunda Lottery Centre and News
- Kojunup Newsagency
- Bayley Street Newsagency
- newXpress Halls Head
- Beckenham Newsagency
- Gold Edge News

Mellisa Brown from Nextra Dianella Newsagency, one of the stores which sold a winning share, said a big Lotto win always created lots of excitement amongst customers.
“I’ve been here for the last 16 years and it’s the best feeling knowing that one of your customers has struck lucky. Once the good news spreads, it gets busy in-store as people want to visit the place that sells winners,” she said.
Last night’s Monday Lotto draw also offered doubles prizes in Division 2 to 6 with 14,449 West Australian players sharing in almost $450,000. Players will have another chance to double prizes in these Divisions in this week’s Wednesday Lotto draw.
WA’s tally of Division 1 tickets for the year has now reached 53. Tonight’s $30 million OZ Lotto jackpot will be another chance to add to the exclusive list.
It’s the second largest OZ Lotto jackpot offered this year and is the result of no one being able to match the game’s winning numbers for the past five weeks.
Tickets for all this week’s Lotto events can be purchased from Lotterywest retailers, through Play Online or the Lotterywest App until 6pm on day of draw.
Another player Set for Life!
More good news has been revealed this week, with another lucky player taking home 1st Prize in Set for Life.
The avid skier from Sydney is planning to carve it up on the best slopes around the world with his prize of $20,000 each month for the next 20 years.
“This is unbelievable – I’m on top of the world! I thought it was work calling me when I saw a few missed calls on my phone,” he said.
“I can’t even imagine what I’ll do now that I’ve won, but I’ll definitely be spending more time skiing. I’ll be able to check out the slopes around the world – I think I’ll go to Japan first.”
Set for Life, Australia’s first new national lottery game launched in 20 years, only celebrated its first birthday last week.
This latest winner joins 12 other 1st Prize Set for Life winners from across the country, three of these from WA.
