WA Superdraw winners keep rolling up to the 'Lotterywest Winners Room'

3 August 2015

Not only have two of eight WA Division 1 Lotto winners from the weekend's $21 million Saturday Lotto Superdraw been in to claim their prizes today, an outstanding Lotto ticket from 25 July has also been claimed.

Soon after Lotterywest's doors opened today, the mystery winners of the $1,415,048 Saturday Lotto prize sold at Warwick Grove Lottery Centre and News came forward. They purchased their winning ticket alongside some other Lotto games as part of a $20 Combo Pack.

The Balcatta family had originally thought their winning ticket held an $800 prize and were pleased it would pay for their rates bill.

"When I found out we'd won Lotto it felt like I was flying. This is totally heaven," said the woman.

The next to visit the Winners Room were a couple from Kenwick who are set to see an extra $1,235,294 in their bank account from winning Division 1 in the weekend's Superdraw.

They purchased their ticket from Metro Maddington Lottery Centre 'on the spur of the moment' stating it was actually a different type of ticket to what they usually buy deciding to upgrade to a ticket with more numbers.

"We still can't believe we've won. We've always wanted to go on a cruise, and now we can," said the winners.

Following the Kenwick winners was a retired man from Joondalup who also had a win in the weekend's $21 million Saturday Lotto Superdraw from a ticket purchased at Candlewood Village Newsagency in Joondalup.

The man has been playing the same numbers for 40 years and always had a feeling his time would come to win the big one!

"I'm going to tell everyone, I'm so happy!" said the man.

Lotterywest is still waiting to hear from six other Division 1 Lotto winners from the weekend's Superdraw.
The tickets were sold at:

  • Dog Swamp Newsagency in Yokine.
  • The Lucky Charm Baldivis.
  • Newstime Lottery Centre in Perth.
  • Midland Gate Lottery Kiosk.
  • Newsextra Bentley News and Tobacconist.
  • Harbour Lottery Centre and News in Hillarys.

$30 million OZ Lotto jackpot on offer tomorrow

After five weeks of jackpotting, OZ Lotto is offering players the chance to win $30 million tomorrow night.

The prize offer is the result of no one across Australia being able to match the game's seven winning numbers over the jackpot roll.

Not only are thousands of WA winners expected to benefit from tomorrow night's draw, sales over the last five weeks of the game jackpotting have seen almost $3.5 million raised for the local community. Tomorrow night's draw is set to raise a further $1 million.

Local community organisations to receive this funding include the City of Joondalup - Mobile Youth Service who received a $40,000 Lotterywest Grant last month. The grant was used to purchase a vehicle to help deliver youth services in the area.
