WA player picks up 1st Prize in Set for Life

16 May 2016

One WA player has become Set for Life overnight after collecting a 1st Prize in last night’s Set for Life draw – they will take home $20,000 each month for the next 20 years.

It’s the tenth national winner since the game was launched in August last year and the second produced in WA.

Lotterywest is waiting to hear from the lucky winner; the winning ticket was sold at The Lucky Charm Midland.

Manager of the store Cheryl Wild said they were absolutely thrilled with the news, particularly as the store was overdue to sell a big winner.

“It’s been a while since we’ve had a big winner, about eight or nine years, so this is excellent! I’d love the winner to be one of our regular customers because they’re all so lovely,” she said.

“This is wonderful and the prize will certainly set someone up for the rest of their life.”

Since Set for Life was launched nine months ago, WA has delivered 1.4 million winners who have shared in prizes worth more than $26 million across the game’s Prize Levels.

Support from players purchasing tickets in the game over this time has also helped Lotterywest to raise almost $16 million to support the WA community.

Amongst Set for Life’s ten 1st Prize winning tickets, two have been sold in Western Australia, three in New South Wales, three in Victoria and one in South Australia.

Set for Life draws take place every night of the week, 365 days of the year with draws closing at 7.00pm AWST. If won, there are up to four guaranteed 1st Prizes of $20,000 a month for 20 years in every Set for Life draw.

$30 million on offer tomorrow

Last night’s WA 1st Prize Set for Life winner could be a sign of more good things to come this week as we count down to tomorrow night’s $30 million OZ Lotto jackpot.
The multi-million dollar Division 1 prize offer is the result of no-one across the nation being able to match the game’s seven winning number over the past five weeks.

Tickets for the $30 million OZ Lotto jackpot are available until 6pm tomorrow in-store from Lotterywest retailers, through Play Online, or by downloading the Lotterywest App.
