WA cleans up in Superdraw as new national game gets players 'Set for Life'
WA has once again proved to be the lucky State to buy Lotto keeping almost half of the nation's weekend Division 1 winners local.
Across Australia there were 17 Division 1 winners in the $21 million Saturday Lotto Superdraw, eight of which were WA players, each winning a $1,235,294 prize.
The winning WA tickets were sold at:
- Dog Swamp Newsagency in Yokine
- The Lucky Charm Baldivis
- Newstime Lottery Centre in Perth
- Midland Gate Lottery Kiosk
- Newsextra Bentley News and Tobacconist
- Harbour Lottery Centre and News in Hillarys
- Metro Maddington Lottery Centre
- Candlewood Village Newsagency in Joondalup
Owner of Dog Swamp Newsagency, Tom Salvarinov said he and his staff had been very busy in the lead up to the Superdraw.
"It's been rock and rolling down here with lots of people. Luck's definitely on our side!" said Tom.
Less than three weeks ago Newsextra Bentley News and Tobacconist last sold a Wednesday Lotto Division 1 ticket and on Saturday they sold another.
They think it's great odds since they only took over the store six months prior.
"We think we might have brought the luck with us when we started working here. We're going to tell everyone the great news," said manager of the store Gaurav Dua.
They are also hoping they might sell the first 1st Prize in Australia's new Lotto game Set for Life which went on sale today.
"We've got the best intentions to try and do it for our customers," said Gaurav.
Set for Life on sale today
At 6am today the first new Australian Lotto game in almost 20 years, Set for Life went on sale with its first ever draw this Friday night.
WA players are invited to imagine how their lives could be enhanced if they won 1st Prize of $20,000 a month for 20 years.
Local players can purchase their Set for Life tickets by 7pm every night of the week from Lotterywest retailers, Play Online at www.lotterywest.wa.gov.au or via new Lotterywest app.
