Superdraw Lotto luck strikes WA three times
Three Western Australian Lotto players have received an early Valentine's Day present after picking up a $1.1 million Division One prize in the weekend's $20 million Saturday Lotto Superdraw.
The winning tickets were sold at Forum Newsagency in Floreat, Palmyra Supa News and Winners Circle Lottery Centre in Cloverdale.
For Palmyra Supa News, it was the third Division One Lotto ticket the outlet had sold in a year. It followed a $1.8 million winning ticket sold there in last year's February Superdraw and a $413,757 ticket in December.
Owner of the outlet Cheng Goh said he was thrilled and very excited to have added another 'big' win to his outlet's tally.
"It's just beautiful! We just tell our customers you have to be in it to win it and to give luck a chance," he said.
"We have such a strong customer support base, so we hope it goes to one of our regular players. I'm sure $1.1 million will come in very handy."
Over 229,000 other local Lotto players picked up a prize in the weekend's Superdraw, including 26 players who pocketed a $5,865 Division Two prize and 135,312 players who collected a $11.65 Division Six prize.
It was not only local Lotto winners that felt the 'Lotto love' from the weekend's Superdraw, so did the entire Western Australian community with Lotterywest raising $4 million for local hospitals, sports and arts groups, and over 1,000 not-for-profit and charity groups.
In December, the Bicton Men's Shed located in Palmyra benefited from a $4,046 Lotterywest Grant to purchase an air conditioner for their shed.
Western Australian Lotto players will have another chance to pick up a Superdraw prize next month, when an incredible $21 million Division One prize goes on offer on Saturday 31 March.
Tickets for the March Superdraw can now be purchased from any Lotterywest retailer across the State or from the Lotterywest Play Online service at www.lotterywest.wa.gov.au
