Stratton expecting two in a row after weekend Lotto success
Lotterywest is celebrating its 35th Division 1 Lotto winner for the year following a $668,413 winning Saturday Lotto ticket from the weekend.
The winning ticket was bought from Stratton Park News and Gifts and at this stage the identity of the winner is unknown.
In June 2014 Stratton Park News and Gifts were on a winning streak with two Division 1 winning Saturday Lotto tickets sold in the span of just two weeks. It seems as though luck has returned to the store and they’re hoping history will repeat itself with their next winner not far off.
“We only bought the business in 2014 and two months later we’d sold two big winners - it was unbelievable!” said Van Thai Tram, owner of Stratton Park News and Gifts.
“Since the weekend winner wasn’t me, I’m hoping it was someone who really needs it. I know another big win for our store is just around the corner; probably this weekend if our track record is anything to go by.”
Not only do WA’s Lotto winners have a reason to celebrate after a draw; the local community can too with a third of what players spend on Lotterywest Games supporting the WA community.
Local groups to receive Lotterywest support include the Rise Network located in Middle Swan which received a $179,635 Lotterywest Grant in February. These funds were used towards the fit-out of an administration building to support services for people with a disability, the frail aged and people impacted by mental illness.
$21 million this weekend, just in time for Mother’s Day!
If you’re searching for the perfect way to spoil mum this Mother’s Day, the chance to win a share of the $21 million Saturday Lotto Superdraw is a great gift idea.
With over $156 million in prizes won by WA players across all Lotto games so far this year, it’s looking like more good things are in store for this weekend’s Superdraw.
Tickets for the Superdraw are available until 6pm this Saturday in-store at Lotterywest retailers, through Play Online or by downloading the Lotterywest App.
