Still searching for WA's weekend Lotto winner as $50 million jackpot gets closer!
Things in WA are heating up as we count down to tomorrow night's $50 million Powerball jackpot.
The multi-million dollar offer is the result of no one across the nation being able to match the game's winning numbers for the past six weeks.
So far over Powerball's six week jackpot roll, almost 200,000 WA players have picked up prizes in other Divisions; however the Division 1 prize pool remains up for grabs.
Lotterywest spokesperson Pina Compagnone said we could see the Division 1 prize pool rise even higher if it's not won tomorrow night.
"This is looking to be a very popular draw with almost 700,000 tickets expected to be sold in WA. Our busiest hour will be between 5pm and 6pm tomorrow, when an estimated 500 tickets will be churning out of Lotterywest terminals every minute," Ms Compagnone said.
Ms Compagnone said some of the most popular locations locals were visiting to buy their tickets today included Perth's CBD, Cloverdale and Morley.
Meanwhile, WA is still searching for a local winner that picked up a $829,361 Division 1 prize in the weekend's Saturday Lotto draw (11 October). The ticket was sold at Mullaloo News and Lotteries.
So far this year, 69 WA players have picked up a Division 1 Lotto prize sharing in almost $95 million.
Tickets for the $50 million Powerball jackpot are available from Lotterywest retailers or from Play Online at www.lotterywest.wa.gov.au until 6pm tomorrow.
It's not just thousands of WA winners that are set to benefit in tomorrow night's draw, with Lotterywest raising funds for the local community. Over the six week jackpot roll, almost $9 million will be delivered to support the WA community.
