Million dollar Lotto win delivered to Beechboro
Midweek Lotto luck has visited our State with a $1 million Division One prize sold at Beechboro Newsagency and Lotteries in last night's Wednesday Lotto draw.
The winning ticket was the only Division One ticket sold across the nation with one local Lotto player collecting the entire prize pool.
Last night's win follows a run of wins this week in Western Australia after three local Lotto players picked up a $1.1 million Division One prize in the weekend's $20 million Saturday Lotto Superdraw and a local Soccer Pools player collected a cool $183,647.
Beechboro Newsagency and Lotteries is also no stranger to a 'big' Lotto win. In addition to last night's win the outlet also sold a $595,000 ticket in July last year.
Albert Nakpil from Beechboro Newsagency and Lotteries said the news of the win was simply wonderful.
"It feels so good to have made someone else a Lotto winner. There are a lot of excited customers visiting us today checking to see if they are holding the million dollar ticket," he said.
Mr Nakpil said he wasn't to sure what he put the outlet's Lotto luck down to but laughed it might just be the good customer service. He said there were also two Buddhas in-store which people often rubbed their ticket on or left small coins in front of.
"We then donate all the coins to local charity groups," he said.
Lotterywest is still waiting to hear from Western Australia's newest Lotto millionaire.
It was not just our local winners that benefited from last night's Wednesday Lotto draw but the entire Western Australian community with Lotterywest delivering 34 cents in every dollar spent on the draw to help locals in need.
Last year, the Humpty Dumpty Toy Library located in Beechboro received a $12,353 Lotterywest Grant to purchase toys and equipment for the library.
