13 November 2015

Not only will the race that stops the nation take place today, there's also a game that might make your heart skip a beat if you win Division 1.

Tonight's $25 million OZ Lotto jackpot is exciting players Australia wide.

For the past four weeks OZ Lotto's jackpot amount has continued rising and now stands at $25 million making it the fourth largest jackpot offered this year.

Between 4 and 5pm today is when retailers are expected to be at their busiest with 246 tickets anticipated to be sold every minute.

WA's amazing OZ Lotto winning streak this year includes a $5 million prize sold by Padbury News and Post in February, a $30 million syndicate of ten sold by The Lucky Lottery Centre in Booragoon in May and a $20 million prize sold by Lucky Terrace Newsagency in Fremantle in August.

"In the four weeks of OZ Lotto jackpotting WA players have won 113,151 prizes in the game," said Lotterywest spokesperson Jody Nunn.

"We would love to add another large OZ Lotto winner to WA's winner's tally which is already sitting at 88 for the year," she said.

There's still time to pick up a ticket in the draw before 6pm tonight in-store, online at www.lotterywest.wa.gov.au/play-online or through the Lotterywest App.

It's not just tonight's OZ Lotto winners that are able to celebrate the draw with 34 cents out of every dollar spent on all Lotterywest Games going back to support the local community.

The Joondalup Bridge Club Incorporated located in Padbury received an $8,800 Lotterywest Grant towards equipment to support the provision of stimulating recreational activities for seniors.
