Superdraw delivers two WA Lotto millionaires just ahead of bumper jackpot week!

1 November 2015

Two Western Australian players have each taken home a $1 million prize in last night’s $20 million Saturday Lotto Superdraw.

The lucky winners were amongst 20 from around the nation to share in the $20 million Division 1 prize pool in what was the last Superdraw for the year.

The State’s winning tickets were sold in neighbouring suburbs south of Perth at Melville Newspower in Bicton and Myaree Newsextra Newsagency.

Owner of the Myaree store Wayne Martinovich said it was unbelievable to have the only Division 1 winning tickets across the State be sold right next door to each other.

“I’d say this is a very lucky area! It’s been almost 12 months since we last sold a Division 1 winner and we were due another one. In fact we even had three in 12 months a few years ago. We are certainly lucky in Lotto,” he said.

Mr Martinovich said it had been an extremely busy day in-store yesterday with lots of customers collecting their tickets.

“We just really hope it’s one of our regulars who visit us each week.”

More than 223,000 other WA players took home a Superdraw prize last night, including 23 locals who pocketed an $8,099 Division 2 prize.

It wasn’t just the thousands of local winners that had something to celebrate last night, with support for the Superdraw helping Lotterywest to raise more than $4 million for the WA community

Lotterywest is still waiting to hear from the State’s newest Lotto millionaires.

$75 million combine jackpot offer next week

WA’s luck in last night’s Superdraw could be a sign of more good things to come next week when a combined $75 million worth of jackpot prizes will go on offer.

On the same day as the race that stops the nation will take place on Tuesday with Melbourne Cup, a $25 million OZ Lotto jackpot will also go up for grabs.

The excitement will carry on to Thursday night when an incredible $50 million Powerball jackpot is offered.

Lotterywest spokesperson Pina Compagnone said with WA’s successful track record of Division 1 Lotto winners this year, there was a strong chance luck could continue throughout the week.

So far this year, WA has produced 88 Division 1 Lotto winners who have shared in almost $205 million worth of prizes.

Tickets for both the OZ Lotto and Powerball jackpot can be purchased in-store at from Lotterywest retailers, through Play Online at or the Lotterywest App.
