Lucky Lotto numbers revealed leading into $21 million Superdraw
With less than a week to go before $21 million goes on offer in this weekend's Saturday Lotto Superdraw, Lotterywest has revealed some of this year's luckiest numbers.
"The number 24 has been the most frequently drawn Saturday Lotto number drawn nine times, followed by 16, 29, 30 and 39 which have each been drawn eight times and 13 and 15 drawn seven times," said Lotterywest spokesperson Pina Compagnone.
Ms Compagnone said this year's tally of WA Division 1 Lotto winners was also surging ahead when compared to last year.
"We've certainly had luck surrounding the State this year. Our Division 1 winners tally has reached 66, which is seven more than this time last year," Ms Compagnone said.
"However the big difference has been in how much prize money these winners have shared. It was almost $85 million last year, compared to an incredible $180 million this year!" she said.
Contributing to WA's large winners tally was six local players who each picked up a $1.2 million prize in the last Saturday Lotto Superdraw held earlier this month.
One of these winning tickets was purchased from Newsextra Bentley News and Tobacconist and it wasn't the first time the store sold a Division 1 winner this year. It followed a $1 million ticket sold there in July.
"We had been crossing our fingers for the first win but the second was a surprise, we really didn't expect it. The third big win is coming!" said owner Mr Gaurav Dua.
WA players have until 6pm this Saturday to purchase their tickets in this weekend's $21 million Saturday Lotto Superdraw.
Tickets are available in-store at Lotterywest retailers, online at www.lotterywest.wa.gov.au/play-online or through the Lotterywest App.
Support from local players in this weekend's Superdraw, is also set to help Lotterywest raise an estimated $4.5 million for the WA community.
