Luckiest Powerball numbers revealed in lead up to $50 million jackpot
There are only hours left until the nation's second largest jackpot for the year goes on offer!
Tonight's $50 million Powerball jackpot is the result of no player in Australia being able to match the game's winning numbers for the past six weeks. It follows this year's largest jackpot of $70 million in August.
To take home tonight's $50 million prize, a player needs six winning numbers plus the Powerball. Lotterywest has revealed this year's most frequently drawn Powerball numbers are 32, 26, 31, 29, 21 and 8. The most frequently drawn Powerball is 15.
Lotterywest spokesperson Pina Compagnone said if a single player takes home tonight's prize, it will rewrite the history books as WA's largest Lotto win.
"The record currently sits at $30 million and was last won 12 months ago when an Innaloo woman took home the entire Powerball Division 1 prize pool," Ms Compagnone said.
So far this year, 69 WA players have shared in Division 1 Lotto prizes worth almost $95 million. It includes the State's highest Lotto wins for the year — a $15 million prize in April and a $10 million prize in July.
Kim Nguyen from Princess Road News and Lotto in Balga who sold the $10 million winning ticket said he was hoping to sell another big winner tonight.
"We have a strong feeling luck will strike here again! We're even reminding our customers to rub their tickets on the Buddha's tummy we have in our store for some extra luck," he said.
Almost 700,000 tickets are expected to be sold in WA for tonight's jackpot draw, with ticket sales peaking at an estimated 800 tickets per minute today.
It's both WA winners and the community that are set to celebrate, with Lotterywest raising $9 million to support the local community over Powerball's six week jackpot roll.
Tickets for the $50 million Powerball jackpot are available from Lotterywest retailers or from Play Online at www.lotterywest.wa.gov.au until 6pm tonight.
