Luckiest numbers revealed in lead up to $21 million Superdaw

4 May 2015

As Western Australian Lotto players prepare for this weekend's $21 million Division 1 prize offer in the Saturday Lotto Superdraw, Lotterywest is revealing some of this year's most popular Lotto numbers.

The number 24 has been the most frequently drawn Saturday Lotto number drawn seven times, followed by the number 16 drawn five times, and the numbers 18, 30, 33, 41, 42 and 44 all coming an equal third, drawn four times.

Lotterywest spokesperson Pina Compagnone said there had also been a few hot spot locations in 2015 where Lotto luck had struck more than once.

"Shepherds Newsagency in Fremantle sold two Division 1 winning Lotto tickets within a week which is incredible luck," Ms Compagnone said.

One of the tickets was worth $525,190 in a Saturday Lotto draw held in April, and the other was worth $316,393 in the Saturday Lotto draw held a week later.

Owner of the Shepherds Newsagency Vanda Dore said they were hoping for a hat trick following the Superdraw.

"Lotto luck seems to be on our side at the moment, so we really hope it stays!" Mrs Dore said.

"Our Division 1 winners have struck lucky by a combination of playing their favourite numbers and through Slikpiks which are randomly generated numbers. Most importantly you just need to have a ticket in the draw," she said.

Ms Compagnone said other hot spots included Padbury which sold a $5 million ticket - the largest in WA for the year, and Albany selling the State's second largest Lotto prize for the year worth $3 million.

So far this year, Western Australia Lotto players have shared in almost $110 million worth of prize money, with this figure potentially growing even higher following this weekend's Saturday Lotto Superdraw.

It's not only the winners that will benefit from the Superdraw; Lotterywest also expects to raise over $4 million from this draw alone to support the WA community.

Tickets for the Superdraw are available until 6pm Saturday from Lotterywest retailers or Play Online at www.lotterywest.wa.gov.au
