Love is in the air as WA's latest Lotto winners celebrate with romantic trip to Italy

13 February 2015

With only one sleep left until tomorrow night's $20 million Saturday Lotto Superdraw, winners fever has been surrounding Lotterywest HQ with two local Division 1 Lotto winners coming forward to claim their prizes.

A couple from Perth's eastern suburbs officially collected their $608,243 prize which was purchased from The Lucky Charm Ellenbrook in last weekend's Saturday Lotto draw.

"We've been pinching ourselves ever since we realised we'd won. We just can't stop smiling," they said.

Love is certainly in the air as Valentine's Day approaches, and to celebrate, the couple are planning a romantic holiday to Italy with some of their Lotto winnings.

Also claiming a $608,243 Division 1 Lotto prize from the same draw was a family from Victoria Park who bought their winning ticket from a local retailer, Causeway Newsagency.

The family said they had been in complete shock since finding out the news and were excited at the thought of being debt free.

"We can pay off our own mortgage and our Dad's too'! We don't have to worry financially anymore," the family said.

Could you be the next Division 1 Lotto winner to visit the Lotterywest Winners' Room following the weekend's $20 million Saturday Lotto Superdraw?

Tickets for the Superdraw are available from Lotterywest retailers or from Play Online at

The Superdraw will not only deliver thousands of WA winners; it will also raise an expected $4 million for WA community.

Lotterywest support is directed to community events like the Perth International Arts Festival and their headline act, The Giants which hits Perth streets today.

The Giants is a significant free event commemorating the ANZAC Centenary where two Giants will take us on a journey around the streets of Perth over the next three days (13-15 February).

Lotterywest thanks over 500 registered volunteers who have got involved to bring The Giants to life in Western Australia.
