Lotto luck continues surrounding WA - our latest winner scooping $1.4 million!
Western Australia's Lotto luck has continued over the weekend with Warwick Grove Lottery Centre and News selling a Division 1 winning ticket.
The Saturday Lotto ticket is set to see its owner $1,415,048 richer.
It had been nearly eight years since Warwick Grove Lottery Centre and News sold their last Division 1 winning ticket and owner of the store Peter Economis was sure it was only a matter of time until they sold another.
"We've sold lots of Division 2 tickets, so we knew it would be our turn again soon to sell a Division 1 winner," said Peter.
Staff have already begun spreading the news about their win to customers and are hoping one of their regulars is WA's newest millionaire.
Lotterywest is still waiting to hear from the new Division 1 Lotto winner.
So far this year Lotterywest has welcomed 51 local Division 1 winners into the Winners Room who have shared in over $138 million worth of prizes. This included last Thursday night's $50 million Powerball winner - the largest Lotto prize in WA's history.
It's not just WA's Lotto winners who benefit following a Lotto draw, so does the entire WA community with proceeds from Lotterywest Games supporting a range of not-for-profit and charitable groups.
A $1,750 Lotterywest Grant was given to The University of the Third Age - North Coast located in Warwick last year, to assist in the delivery of the university's educational programs.
More big prizes on offer this week
As WA continues on its Lotto winning streak, there's no better time to try your luck in Lotto.
There are a few chances this week including tomorrow night's $20 million OZ Lotto draw, followed by this weekend's $21 million Saturday Lotto Superdraw.
Players can purchase their tickets by 6pm on the night of the draw from Lotterywest retailers, Play Online at www.lotterywest.wa.gov.au or the new Lotterywest app.
