Largest jackpot for the year on offer!
Australia's biggest jackpot amount for the year will go on offer tonight in the $30 million Powerball draw.
The jackpot is the result of no one across the nation being able to match the game's six winning numbers plus the Powerball for the last four weeks.
Lotterywest spokesperson Pina Compagnone said the multi-million dollar prize offer was expected to create lots of interest and anticipation amongst local Lotto players.
"It's the highest Lotto prize we've seen this year so we expect quite a bit of support for the draw from WA players. In WA, we expect to sell almost 350,000 tickets," she said.
Ms Compagnone said although we hadn't seen a WA player take home Powerball's top prize yet 137,636 local players had already picked up a prize over the four week jackpot roll.
WA's last big Powerball win was in January, when an Albany couple took home $3 million. The win is amongst a tally of 20 WA Division 1 Lotto winners for the year who have shared in prizes worth over $30 million.
It's not just the thousands of WA winners that will benefit from the Powerball jackpot, so will the WA community with Lotterywest raising an estimated $4.3 million to support the community over the four week jackpot run.
If a single a player takes home tonight's $30 million prize, it will the equal largest Lotto prize ever won on the State.
Tickets are available until 6pm from Lotterywest retailers or from Lotterywest Play Online at www.lotterywest.wa.gov.au
