Early Christmas Lotto bonus delivered to WA's south west
A touch of Lotto luck struck WA's south west region over the weekend after a Division 1 Lotto ticket worth $664,754 in Saturday night's Lotto draw was sold in Bunbury.
The winning ticket was purchased from Bunbury Forum LPO & Lottery Centre.
Owner of the store Neville McDonald said it was the second Division 1 winning ticket sold at the store in the two years it had been open.
"We sold one only six months after it opened and now we've had a second; that's a pretty good result," he said.
"There's been a fair bit of chatter about the win and a lot of excitement. It's great news leading up to Christmas."
While the weekend win is the fifth Division 1 Lotto ticket to be sold in south west this year, it was the first 2015 win for Bunbury.
"Bunbury has been extremely lucky in Lotto in previous years but it's been a bit quiet this year - we're glad to finally get on the board. It's the start of many more wins to come, perhaps in the upcoming $30 million Megadraw."
WA's weekend win brings the total tally of Division 1 Lotto winners for the year to an incredible 96. These winners have shared in prizes worth almost $232 million.
Double your prize in Divisions 2-6 this Wednesday
Lotto players will have the chance to double their prizes in Divisions 2-6 in this Wednesday's Lotto draw (Draw 3511).
Tickets can be purchased until 6pm Wednesday from retailer's in-store, from Play Online or through the Lotterywest App.
It's not just local winners that have something to celebrate following a Lotto draw, the WA community wins too with 34 cents of every dollar spent on Lotterywest Games supporting the local community.
Community groups to receive this support include the Bunbury Regional Theatre who was given a $91,000 Lotterywest Grant earlier this year to help deliver arts and cultural programs to the community.
