Combined $70 million of jackpots on offer just in time for Christmas
WA players could receive an early Christmas present if they strike it lucky in tonight’s $30 million OZ Lotto jackpot or Thursday night’s $40 million Powerball jackpot.
To take out tonight’s OZ Lotto Division 1 prize pool; players will need to match seven winning numbers. The jackpot is the result of no one across the nation being able to match OZ Lotto’s winning numbers for the last five weeks.
Lotterywest spokesperson Pina Compagnone said if this year was a sign of what was to come, WA was in with a good chance.
“Not only have we had a record year of Division 1 Lotto winners, we’ve also had an extraordinary run of big jackpot winners,” she said.
“This included a $30 million OZ Lotto win in May shared amongst 10 syndicate members and a $50 million Powerball win in July which rewrote the State’s history books as the largest Lotto prize ever won.”
So far this year, WA has produced 97 Division 1 Lotto and 1st Prize winners who have shared in almost $235 million worth of prize money.
Tickets for both the OZ Lotto and Powerball jackpots are available in-store from Lotterywest outlets, through Play Online, or by downloading the Lotterywest App.
The WA community is also set to benefit from these jackpots; with a combined $4 million expected to be raised from sales in these draws to support WA’s health, sports, arts and not-for-profit sectors.
