Butterflies as WA Saturday Lotto winner claims $835,719 ahead of $21 million Superdraw
A couple from the Swan Valley came to Lotterywest Head Office yesterday with butterflies in their stomachs to claim their Division 1 winning Saturday Lotto prize.
The winning ticket was purchased at Galleria News in Morley and will see the couple's bank account increase by a healthy $835,719.
"I thought we might have won about $20,000 and I couldn't wipe the smile off my face, this is just incredible!" said the man.
The regular players confessed they'd always dreamt about winning Lotto and now couldn't believe it was actually a reality.
Their plans for the prize include going travelling with their children, buying a property and having a little extra spending money on a long awaited overseas trip.
The WA community is also a winner following a Lotto draw including the Independent Living Centre of Western Australia located in Morley. They received a $99,435 Lotterywest Grant in February towards information technology to enhance a toy library service for children with a disability and their families.
Still looking for our Broome and Warwick winners
The identities of the winner of the $1 million Monday Lotto ticket sold at Chinatown Newsagency in Broome on 20 July and the $1,415,048 Saturday Lotto ticket sold at Warwick Grove Lottery Centre and News last Saturday still remain a mystery.
Next big chance to win in this weekend's $21 million Superdraw
There's a perfect chance for local players to become a Division 1 Lotto winner this weekend with the $21 million Saturday Lotto Superdraw.
If Western Australia's recent winning streak is anything to go by, we hope to be welcoming some new Division 1 winners into the Lotterywest Winners Room on Monday.
Tickets can be purchased from Lotterywest retailers, Play Online at www.lotterywest.wa.gov.au or from the new Lotterywest app by 6m Saturday.
