9 October 2015

Today's date will be remembered in Lotterywest's history as the day a Western Australian player won the State's first ever Set for Life 1st Prize.

Mr Kym Fisher, owner of Brentwood Village News was excited to hear that his store sold WA's first winner in the game.

"We've smashed it big time with the first Set for Life prize in WA! We've certainly set the bar high now," he said.

"We have a lot of trades people travelling through and regular customers so it's anyone's guess who the lucky winner might be!"

A further 5,193 local players also took home a prize in tonight's draw in the games other Prize Levels.

It's not only Lotto winners who have reason to celebrate after a draw, so does the entire WA community with 34 cents out of every dollar spent on Lotterywest Games going to support the local community.

The Blue Gum Early Learning and Child Care Centre Incorporated received this support with a $4,442 Lotterywest Grant. These funds were used towards information technology to support the delivery of childcare services in the Brentwood area.
