Another two $30 million OZ Lotto syndicate winners claim prizes while Lotterywest waits for Powerball Division 2 winner
Two more share holders of the OZ Lotto syndicate that struck Division 1 in Tuesday night's $30 million jackpot have claimed their prizes. This brings the total of claimed shares to four, with six winners still to come forward.
A couple from south of the river was third to claim their share totalling $3 million from The Lucky Lottery Centre in Booragoon. The man said it was a spur of the moment decision to purchase the winning share while waiting for his wife to finish shopping.
"I noticed the $30 million OZ Lotto sign and thought I would look at the syndicates. It felt like something told me to buy that particular share," said the man.
The regular players said they will share their multi-million win with their family and may go travelling.
"This will make a big difference for our family," said the winners.
The fourth share was claimed by a married couple from the northern suburbs who purchased their ticket at Reeds Lottery Centre in Fremantle.
The winners couldn't sleep due to the excitement of seeing all seven winning numbers on their ticket.
The couple are now planning for an early retirement and are looking forward to providing a financially stable future for their children.
Meanwhile, Lotterywest is waiting to hear from last night's $50 million Powerball jackpot Division 2 winner who is set to collect a $119,603 prize from a ticket purchased at Woolstores Lottery Centre and News in Fremantle.
Whilst we didn't take out the jackpot, 127,124 Western Australians won prizes in the game's other divisions.
WA players have another opportunity to secure a place on the Division 1 winners tally tomorrow night in the Saturday Lotto draw where a guaranteed $4 million prize pool is on offer.
It's not just WA's many Lotto winners that benefit from Lotterywest Games with 33 cents out of every dollar spent being returned to our community.
Local community organisations to receive these benefits include the Australasian Institute for Maritime Archaeology Incorporated in Fremantle who received an $8,976 Lotterywest Grant in February. This was used towards the production of the Green Seas and White Horses publication, a history of WA maritime heritage between Flinders Bay and Eucla.
