Morley's multi-million dollar Monday Lotto winner

The long weekend has ended with exciting news for one Morley Lotto player after scooping $2 million in last night's Monday Lotto draw.

The winning ticket, purchased at Morley North News, was one of two Division One tickets sold around the nation.

Owner of Morley North News, John Trec said it was the first Division One Lotto ticket his outlet had sold in seven years.

"I was in a bit of a shock when I first found out we had sold the $2 million ticket. It's great news though and hopefully it's the start of a winning streak for us," he said.

"There are certainly a few happy people around as they hear about the multi-million dollar news."

This is Western Australia's fifth Monday Lotto Division One winner this year. These winners have shared in almost $5 million.

With Lotto players investing in their favourite game, 33 cents in every dollar spent on Lotterywest products is returned to the local community.

Over the last financial year, Lotterywest raised $234.8 million for health services, sporting organisations, the arts and for community and charitable organisations in Western Australia.
