Two WA winners share in weekend Lotto win

The weekend has brought more Lotto fortune to our State, with two of the four Division One winners from Saturday's Lotto draw coming from Western Australia.

All four winners nationwide will take home prizes of over $1 million.

Western Australia's winning tickets were sold at Hampton Road Lottery Centre & News in South Fremantle and Esperance Lottery Centre & News.

Owner of Esperance Lottery Centre & News Lea Kirwan told Lotterywest this was her outlet's fifth Division One Lotto win since 2001.

"We worked out that on average, we have sold a Division One winning ticket every 15 months," she said.

"This is wonderful news and hopefully it's been won by someone that deserves it or a local customer.

"I hope our luck continues throughout the week. It would be nice to have two big wins in a row."

The State's two wins come ahead of tonight's $5 million Weekday Superdraw. Lotto players have until 6.00pm today to purchase their tickets.

Lotto winners are not the only ones who benefit from Lotterywest games; 33 cents in every dollar spent is returned to Western Australian health, sports, the arts and a large number of charitable and community organisations.

This year the Cannery Arts Centre in Esperance benefited from a $8,000 Lotterywest grant to help with delivering community arts programs to the region.

Lotterywest is still waiting to hear from our State's latest millionaires.
