Eaton's new millionaires set to cruise through life
As Western Australia's South West region continues their Lotto winning streak, a married couple from Eaton have come forward to claim their Saturday Lotto Division One win from the weekend worth over $1.3 million.
The couple couldn't believe their luck when they checked the draw's winning numbers in the newspaper on Sunday morning.
"We never thought we would be Lotto winners, it was always a far away hope," the couple said.
"When we got six numbers straight on our ticket, we couldn't believe it and went online to make sure the news was right."
The regular Lotto players purchased their winning Slikpik 25 ticket from Eaton Fair Lottery Centre and News.
It was the second Saturday Lotto Division One ticket the outlet has sold within a month, following a $1 million Division One ticket which was claimed by 25 year old South West woman in July.
"I usually buy an 18 game Slikpik. I don't know why, but on this occasion I decided to purchase a 25 game Slikpik and it paid off," the woman said.
When Lotterywest asked the couple what their plans for the prize money were, they took a deep breath and said travelling was on the cards.
"We always said we would travel so winning Lotto it is a bit of a bonus. It will help set us up to cruise through life," the woman said.
The couple celebrated over a few quiet wines together and said they would let the dust settle before making any major decisions on other spending plans.
$20 million OZ Lotto jackpot tonight
There is still time to add your name to Western Australia's Division One winners list, with $20 million on offer in tonight's OZ Lotto jackpot draw.
Tickets are available from a cost of $1.10 and are on sale at Lotterywest retailers around the state until 6pm.
The cost of a ticket can be shared by joining with family, friends or work colleagues to form a syndicate.
Lotto winners are not the only ones who benefit from Lotterywest games; 33 cents in every dollar spent is returned to Western Australian health, sports, the arts and a large number of charitable and community organisations.
