$80 million worth of jackpots still up for grabs this week while Monday Lotto winner picks up $1 million

26 May 2015

We're on and roll and it's a sign of good things to come for WA Lotto players with the first Lotto draw of the week producing a $1,000,000 Division 1 prize for a lucky local winner.

The winning Monday Lotto ticket was purchased at Dog Swamp Newsagency in Yokine and at this stage the identity of the new millionaire is unknown.

Tom Salvarinov has been the owner of Dog Swamp Newsagency for 25 years and said that his store was 'overdue' to sell a Division 1 winning ticket.

"It's been about four years since we last sold a Division 1 ticket so it's very exciting," said Tom.

"We're hoping the vibrancy in the store can help us sell another big winning ticket in this week's run of jackpots."

$80 million still on offer in bumper jackpot week

This week brings us the biggest ever offer of jackpots for 2015 with an incredible $80 million worth of prizes up for grabs.

Currently sitting at 36 for the year, Lotterywest is hoping to increase the WA Division 1 winners tally in tonight's $30 million OZ Lotto jackpot and Thursday night's $50 million Powerball jackpot.

Local players have the opportunity to bag a prize in these draws by purchasing their tickets by 6pm on the night of the draw from retailers across the State or from Play Online at www.lotterywest.wa.gov.au

It's not just WA winners that have a reason to smile, so does the entire community with funds raised from Lotterywest Games going to support thousands of WA not-for-profit organisations.

In December 2014, the Lions Club of Stirling received a grant for $1,445 towards equipment for the group's community volunteering, education and fundraising activities.
